What are some websites you miss?
Awesome technology was offered on this free site that allowed you to actually build quick and easy webapps on the fly without any special tools or training! You could design a cool spreadsheet that was sharable to everyone in the world or only those you selected. They eventually sold the technology and closed up shop.
An incredible online database development center that you could share with others. Same as above.
One of the best freeware libraries in the world. Gone but not forgotten.
One of the first online services that had origins in 1969! Text-based internet service for most of its time in the sun until NetScape and AOL came along and changed things with their graphical user interfaces. Eventually, their arch rival AOL bought them and shut them down. Still, for many people, their forums where like an early twitter.
- answerpoint.ask.com
Ask Jeeves Answer Point was an early Q&A site, launched in the late 90s, many years before Yahoo Answers or the now-defunct Google Answers. Luckily we have Wikianswers to take its place. View on the Internet Archive
